Parents and personal assistants - interview with our child client's parents Anna and Benjamin<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n


We meet Alex who is 6 years old and his parents, Anna and Benjamin who live in a major city in
Sweden. They have recently received assistance and chose Carelli assistans as their assistance company, after
to have tried the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna says they were not satisfied with the cooperation with the municipality. \"They said one thing but then
that didn't happen in reality, so we decided to use a private provider, and found
Carelli's website\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They contacted Sofie Jeansson, responsible for the start-up of assistance assignments at Carelli.
\"Sofie was clear and made us feel safe with the assistance, she could always be called with all
questions we had\". After the start-up, both Anna and Benjamin started as assistants to Alex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna and Benjamin describe that because there is so much to keep track of around Alex,
it helps to have an assistance company that is reliable. \"We are very pleased with Carelli, you
have been available and very helpful in everything around the assistance<\/em>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex has a unique syndrome, which not many people in Sweden have. He will also be investigated for autism.
Anna and Benjamin have had to fight for an investigation. \"We do our best for our son, for
that he gets the right help and support, and can learn things like everyone else<\/em>\" says Anna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also tell us how tough it has been along the way. From the age of 1.5, Alex started
all the doctor's appointments and investigations, while father Benjamin was not yet living in Sweden.
Mom Anna was left alone in Sweden, with all that that meant. But there is a positive aura in
family. Anna says that they have chosen to try to see life positively anyway and to take advantage of the
the good things that happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna and Benjamin say that they are a good team and support each other when things are tough. For
It is sometimes, both giving Alex what he needs and their two other younger children. The fear
and the anxiety is there, for the future. \"Benjamin supports me a lot, sometimes when he sees that I am
tired, he takes over and cooks all the food for example and lets me rest\" says Anna.
The family is an active family, who love being outside together. Anna also shows how they have
started working with visual aids. \"I'm going to put these on Alex's boxes, so that he can
see where his toys are, and connect with the words\". New adventures await in the fall, with
adapted school for Alex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna and Benjamin have created an environment where Alex will continue to flourish. \"We know
that it will be tough at times, but we are ready to do whatever it takes to make sure Alex gets it
best possible life,\" Anna concludes with a smile. While the future is uncertain, it is clear that
