International Human Rights Day is celebrated on December 10 every year. It is a day to
pay attention to the UN Declaration of Human Rights. Human rights apply to everyone,
regardless of country, origin, culture, religion or disability. The UN Declaration was adopted on 10
December 1948 by the UN General Assembly. It was created, based on the fact that after the Second World War
there was a strong will, at international level, to reach an agreement on rights that were considered
be universal, which would not be negotiable. The declaration consists of 30 articles. Many of them
rights form the basis of international human rights law.
It is an important day to mark, as human rights are being violated around the world.
People are fleeing war, they are violated for their sexual orientation and gender expression, people are persecuted
because of their religion or political beliefs. It is only a fraction.
Carelli's vision is:
"Caring for a sustainable and safe future for people and society"
Personal assistance is an important tool to enable people with assistance needs to
participate in community life just like everyone else. Carelli Assistans has contracts directly with those entitled to assistance
but also with municipalities to provide their assistance. At present, Carelli provides assistance
to just over 80 people and employs around 500 people. Carelli believes that personal assistants are
the most important resource and the working environment must be sustainable for assistants to make a
good work for Carelli's beneficiaries but also for their own well-being.
Carelli also chooses to be an Ifa supporter, thereby supporting the personal assistance
core beliefs, with self-determination, participation, equality, choice and integrity at its core.
Stand up for these values.
